Steven W. Fairley
Steve has served as the Academy's Executive Director since its' genesis. He has overseen the establishment and growth of the programming and services the Academy has developed and delivered. Steve has served on numerous state and regional committees designed to improve services for families and children. He is a lifelong resident of West Virginia and a graduate of North Marion High School. Steve earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairmont State University and a Master of Social Work degree from West Virginia University. He has served as an adjunct faculty member at FSU. Steve has worked as a Regional Director, Director of Quality Assurance and Utilization Management, Clinical Team Leader, Program Supervisor and Family Service Coordinator for other agencies in West Virginia. Steve is blindly loyal to and, a defender of the faith, regarding WVU football.

Christine Myers
Chris is the Academy Director of Finance and is one of the original employees of the company. Chris is a native of Saratoga, New York and has experience in divergent areas such as food service, bookkeeping, human resources and billing in the human service field. Chris graduated from Fairmont State University with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. She and husband Bob reside in Taylor County where Chris is active member of the Taylor County Humane Society. When not being teased at work about her dog devotion, Chris can be found near her swimming pool with her favorite beverage.

Belinda Biafore
Belinda Biafore was born January 17, 1957 in Fairmont, WV. She is a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and Fairmont State College. She is currently employed by Anvil Oil and Gas Company as an Abstractor/Office Manager.
She is the daughter of Margaret Biafore and has one brother Jeff and his wife Kate and one sister, Dana Summers. She has two nieces, Ashley Summers and Sarah Summers, ages 14 & 11 and a puppy Taco.
Her family has a long history of being strong and proud supporters of the Democrat party. She has been involved in politics since she was a young child passing out literature with her mother and uncle at a local grade school. She organized a Young Democrat group in Marion County when she was in High School. She has served a president of Marion County Young Democrats and was active as a State Board member of the West Virginia Young Democrats. She currently serves on the West Virginia Federation of Democratic Women's executive board as the President. She is the current Chairman of the Marion County Democrat Executive Committee and First Vice-Chair of the WV State Democrat Executive Committee. She was recently elected to the ASDC executive board as the southern representative in thirteen states.
She works with the Marion County Democratic Executive Committee, by helping coordinate all Democrat functions, including Democrat Headquarters, in each and every election. She has been chosen as a delegate to the State Democratic Convention in Charleston every four years since 1980. She was elected Marion County's Outstanding Democrat in 1988 and was chosen as WV Democrat of the Year in 1999. She is a member of the JFK society. She is a member of the Yore Academy board.

Nathan Schoetz
Nathan C. Schoetz is Vice President of Commercial Banking with WesBanco Bank, Inc. in North Central West Virginia. Schoetz received his undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina and earned his Masters of Business Administration from West Virginia University. In addition to serving the Yore Academy, Schoetz also serves on the board of Criss Cross, Inc. in Clarksburg. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Fairmont State University's School of Business. Schoetz and his wife Vanessa have two children. Schoetz resides in Clarksburg.

Barbara Core
Graduated from Fairmont State College in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science Degree.
Worked for 11 years at Community Bank and Trust in the credit department, installment loan department and the commercial loan department.
Was first appointed as Circuit Clerk in April of 1987, was elected to that office in May of 1988 and has served in that capacity since.
Has served as President of the West Virginia Association of Counties twice and currently holds Director Emeritus status. Served on the original committee of circuit clerks charged with writing a procedural manual for clerks throughout the state. Recipient of the Outstanding Clerk award presented by the West Virginia Trial Lawyers Association..
Served on the Board of Directors for the Rick Management Insurance Pool which was instrumental in lowering insurance cost for counties statewide.
Served on the original Board of Director's for the Casa program in Marion County.
Most recent appointment by the Supreme Court to chair a committee to examine the feasibility of clerks offices changing the way records are kept and processed.
Has served as president of the Marion County Democrat Women's club and is currently serving as secretary. Is also a member of the West Virginia Federation of Democratic Women, Inc. and is serving as resolutions chair.
Two children, Shelby and Tyler, son in law, Seth Clark and a granddaughter Mia. A member of Faith United Methodist Church.

Mary Jo Thomas
Mary Jo Thomas is currently serving as President of the Board of Directors of the Fairmont State Alumni Association; Executive Committee member and Governance Committee Chair for the Fairmont State Foundation Board of Directors; Secretary of the United Way Board of Directors; Vice President of the Gamma Chi Chi Alumnae; Chair of the Board of Trustees and member of the United Methodist Women of Gateway United Methodist Church; Executive Committee member of the Woman's Club of Fairmont; member of the Public Policy and Legislative Committee of the Board of Directors for the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC); Protocol Chair for GFWC West Virginia and North Central District; and holds membership in and supports Pricketts Fort Memorial Foundation, Marion County Chamber of Commerce, Marion County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Main Street Fairmont, Operation Image, South Fairmont Rotary and the Order of the Eastern Star Fairmont Chapter No. 34.
She retired after a career of public service which included a number of administrative posts with both the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources and the Virginia Department of Social Services. While in Virginia she was a loaned executive to the United States Department of Health and Human Services for two years heading a team to develop accountability processes in the child care arena. She retired from VDSS as Director of Child Care and Development and returned home to Fairmont.
She has held a number of offices in both professional and volunteer organizations at all levels and has received a number of awards/recognitions. She is a trained facilitator and frequent guest speaker and workshop leader. She was named an Everyday Hero by the Times West Virginian.
Her daughter Rosemary is Vice President for Advancement and Executive Director of the Foundation at Salisbury University.
